Positive Behavior System

Get R.E.A.L. Positive Behavior System

Our elementary school Positive Behavior System is designed to support and encourage positive student behavior while helping children grow both academically and socially. The system is built around five major goals: being responsible, being respectful, showing strong effort, maintaining a positive attitude, and demonstrating a willingness to learn. These shared expectations help create a safe, supportive, and engaging school environment where all students can succeed.

Students who demonstrate these positive behaviors are recognized and rewarded with Beacon Bucks. Teachers and staff give Beacon Bucks to acknowledge everyday moments when students make good choices, help others, stay focused, or show perseverance. Students can save their Beacon Bucks and spend them every other week at the Beacon Buck Store, where they can choose from a variety of fun and motivating rewards. This system helps reinforce positive behavior, builds responsibility, and encourages students to take pride in making positive choices at school.

We hold four Get REAL assemblies per year, where specific students who have shown specific attributes are recognized.  Parents of those students being recognized are invited to attend.  At these assemblies we also recognize other amazing achievements and students with perfect or near perfect attendance.
